The southern part of Chilla sounds like a remarkable conservation reserve, especially for Swamp Deer. Being the only place in Uttarakhand and West Uttar Pradesh where these deer are found makes it quite significant for wildlife enthusiasts. The marshy grassland habitat is ideal for these animals, and it’s wonderful to know that the area is also gaining popularity as a birdwatching hotspot, especially between November and March, when migratory birds visit.

The presence of Tigers, Leopards, Elephants, Wild Boar, and multiple types of deer enriches the biodiversity. The Crocodile Point during winter must be a fascinating sight, and the possibility of spotting a Black Bear adds to the excitement.
